About me

I’m Giovanni de Nola, a molecular biologist and electron microscopy specialist currently based at the MIT Koch Institute. My work focuses on developing and applying advanced imaging techniques—particularly EM, CLEM, and super-resolution microscopy—to explore cellular structures at the nanoscale.

I’ve mastered a wide range of methods, including Tokuyasu cryosectioning, high-pressure freezing, and expansion microscopy. At MIT, I’m developing a novel CLEM protocol designed to make this powerful technique more accessible across imaging platforms.

Driven by curiosity and collaboration, I aim to advance the tools that help us see biology more clearly.
